Increase in our ticket prices

Dear Keller Theatre visitors,

Unfortunately, we are also suffering from the rising costs of energy and performance rights. Therefore, we will have to adjust our ticket prices accordingly.

The following prices will apply to our shows from November 2025:

Adults:

€ 16 at the box office on show evenings
€ 16.80 in advance ¹)

Students and disabled (Please present your student/disabled ID card on show nights):

€ 12 at the box office on show evenings
€ 12.80 in advance ¹)

¹) Advance booking fee at “Haus der Karten”

Donation of the old Keller sign to the Museum of Giessen

On June 23, 2025, friends of the Keller Theatre e.V. handed over the old sign from the entrance to The Keller Theatre at Rödgener Straße 64 in Giessen to the Museum für Giessen.

The sign was created in 1994 by a former member of the US Army, who still lives in Giessen, to mark the move of The Keller Theatre from the basement of Miller Hall to Rödgener Straße 64. After the US Army withdrew from Giessen in 2007, the sign was dismantled to be installed at the theatre’s new venue. Unfortunately, this is not possible at our current venue at Bleichstraße 28 for various reasons. Therefore, the association supporting “The Keller Theatre” has donated the sign to the Museum für Giessen.

The sign will have a prominent place in the planned permanent exhibition on the history of Americans in Giessen.

The handover took place in the courtyard of the “Altes Schloss, Giessen”

Good news! Now virus filters in the Kleine Bühne

The new virus filters in the “Kleine Bühne” are now working.
They are part of the ventilation system which was installed this summer.

The installation of ventilation and air conditioning in the theatre rooms is made possible by the NEUSTART KULTUR funding programme. These and other measures are funded by the Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien.
